Tryouts

Parents must                        their child with Volleyball Alberta as a Tryout Player before their child can participate in the tryout process. This includes those that have registered for tryouts on-line.

Players and parents will be asked to sign a EAVC of Conduct prior to training with the club.

It is very important to review our club mission statement and expectations regarding player and *parent* conduct. We are a zero policy club and you/your athlete will NOT be able to participate if not upholding our values and code of conduct as well as that of Volleyball AB and Volleyball Canada.

How can I get more feedback from my coach during the season?

We agree that excellent communications improve all aspects of the coach and player (parent) relationship.

We ask that parents follow the proper protocol of indicating a concern, which is always for the Athlete to approach the coach first, at the appropriate time (during a tournament is never an appropriate time).

*If the concern is an athletes safety matter, direct it to the EAVC executive immediately.

Where are practices held?
Most practices are held in Provost Alberta at the affiliated school gyms. Check your team page for specific locations.

How often are practices and games?
Teams usually practice 2–3 times per week with games or tournaments on weekends, depending on the season and level.
